ultimate Ninja Form (Naruto)

It is a great time to be a fan of the number one knuckle head ninja of a village hidden in the leaves. The manga finally got round to the fight everyone has been waiting for, the Anime is finally airing some of the best fights the series has to offer and the fifth entry in the Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Storm series has just been released.

Similar to Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, Revolutions steps away from canon and asks the question; “Who is the most powerful ninja in the world?” To answer that question the Five Kage are holding a tournament for the entire ninja world, including those long dead.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution’s main story takes place in the Ninja World Tournament mode. Players select their favourite character from the series, recruit team mates, roam the Ninja Festival Island and take part in a four person battle royale.

The Ninja World Tournament revolves around rankings, from D to S+, each only unlocking after the completing the one before. As players re-enter the tournament, more of the festival island is unlocked to explore, introducing new partners to recruit, missions to complete and areas to explore. While this may feel like a cheap ploy to beginning with, it does offer more focus on the tournament. The free roam mode in Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Storm 3 allowed large areas to be explored right for the get go, removing any incentive to complete missions. Revolution on the other hand offers enough exploration to break up tournament rounds but still giving players a reason to take part.
